About STONE & CERAMIC WAREHOUSE
Family tile business in the heart of Chiswick
There can't be many tile suppliers in the UK that are still in business after more than 60 years, but the Stone and Ceramic Warehouse is one of them. We have built up an enviable reputation as a leading importer, distributor and retailer of sophisticated natural, porcelain and ceramic wall and floor coverings.
As fashion and external forces have changed and put pressure on the customer, SACW has had the flexibility to adapt to the changing market under the guiding hand of owner and Managing Director, Chris Grainger. The corner stone of the business is the massive range of products - over 1,000 and the fact that over £750,000 worth are held in stock, giving you immediate access to products. Come and see for yourself.

Chris Grainger
After gaining a BA in business, Chris joined the company and started the expansion into London and importing tiles from Asia, Africa and Mexico during the boom years of the 80s. In 1991 Chris bought Walton Ceramics in Chelsea to increase the company’s presence in London. He took full control of the business in 1996 and transformed it from a distribution company to a top end supplier to the architectural and interior design industry, which alongside his outstanding team has gone from strength to strength over the last 28 years.
Jo Oliver-Singh
Jo joined SACW in 2013 as Showroom Manager and progressed to Director in 2016. This was helped by having worked previously both full and part-time for another tile company. Jo looks after our Account Clients, which include kitchen, bathroom and other tile companies. With a keen eye for attention to detail, she enjoys working closely with clients on large scale projects from concept to completion, this is reinforced by the number of repeat clients she has. Jo also sets up and manages our trade exhibitions, such as Decorex at London Olympia.
Wesley Palmer
Wes qualified with a BA Hons from Ravensbourne School of Design and followed it up with a Masters at St Martins. He has been an integral part of the team working at the Stone and Ceramic Warehouse for many years. During that time he has built up an enviable reputation within the business for being great to work with and an expert in colour and design. Many of his clients come back time after time with new projects to get his expertise, most starting with initial designs and moving through the process to completion. The advice he gives means that these projects not only look amazing, they stand the test of time and are practical in real terms to live with – the right tiles for the job.
